Boxing for Parkinson's and Chronic Conditions Workshop

$40 member, $50 non-members

September 28th, 1:00 - 3:00 pm 

Join this special Boxing Class in the Group Exercise Studio and learn about the benefits of endurance, coordination, and cardiovascular training on chronic conditions in a fun and dynamic way. 

Examples of Chronic Conditions That Benefit From This Workout are:

Metastatic Breast Cancer - Peer Support Group

Do you have Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) or Stage IV Breast Cancer?  You're not alone.

Let's share our experiences and ideas on managing side effects while building a circle of local friends who understand each other because we are walking in the same shoes.

Support group meets:
Third Thursday of every month from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Conference Room

Open to non-members.

Parkinson's Cycling Group

Are you ready to try a new treatment for Parkinson's? Researchers at the Cleveland Clinic have found that cycling has helped to stop the symptoms of Parkinson's. If you are interested in being part of a study to demonstrate how Exercise is Medicine then you will want to be apart of this program.

Times/Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 11:00 to 11:45 am

Cost:  Free

Requirements: Must have some form of Parkinson's
Must be cleared by Physician to participate
Must commit to attending 80% of classes in 90 days
Must try to pedal at 80 to 90 RPM during the 45 minutes
This is not a membership, nonmembers will take class only

Living Well After Cancer Program

The Living Well After Cancer Program is a joint effort between The Claremont Club and Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center’s Robert and Beverly Lewis Family Cancer Care Center that began in 2005. The program is specially designed to improve cancer survivor’s fitness level, quality of life and self-esteem.

Participants meet at The Claremont Club twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon OR from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. The program is 13 weeks and runs from September to December and February to May. It is offered at no charge to cancer survivors and is funded by private donations.

All cancer survivors are welcome to participate if they are able to commit to attending all of the thirteen week classes, have reliable transportation to The Claremont Club, complete required paperwork, including an exercise release from their physician; and participate with other cancer survivors.

Young and Early Onset Parkinson's Support Group

For those diagnosed at 50 or younger.

Support group meets:
Third Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the Conference Room (no meetings held in December, June, July, or August)

Alzheimer's Care Group

If you are caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's, please join us for our monthly Caregiver Support Group, be part of a caring group of people dedicated to helping you navigate through this difficult stage in life!

Support group meets:
Second Tuesday of every month from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Conference Room
