Education Camps (ages 7 to 17)

The Claremont Club's Education Camps bring the best of education to your child's summer with all of the fun!  We encourage children to explore, ask questions, investigate and problem solve all while having a blast doing it.  Have your children join us for our ever popular Science Camps.  This year we will be exploring the world of technology and STEAM Education utilizing LittleBits Electronic Building Blocks and MakeDo Cardboard Construction Sets.  Or they can take a trip to Latin America exploring Latin language, foods and culture in our Spanish Immersion Camp.  New to our Education Camps this year are our Literature and Mini Literature Camps where children will explore the world of literature and even write and illustrate their own bound book.  Lastly, have your teens prepare for the college of their dreams in our SAT/PSAT Camp where they will be a step above the rest in obtaining the score they desire and be able to take their exams without the anxiety of the unknown.  All of this and so much more is offered here at The Claremont Club Education Camps: where education and fun are one!  Please see below for all of our dates and offerings:


SAT/PSAT CAMP (ages 14 – 18)

This 5-Day PSAT/SAT Prep course is designed to help students prepare for the rigors of taking the PSAT and/or SAT tests offered by the College Board. Students will begin by taking a Practice Exam to assess their areas-of-need. Each day, students will focus on a specific section of the exam and review its content and strategies. Our primary goal is to identify and implement test-taking strategies using prerequisite knowledge to increase student performance.

Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

  • Session 1/Week 4 (June 26th - 28th)
  • Session 2/Week 8 (July 22nd - 26th)
  • Session 3/Week 10 (August 5th - 9th)
  • Session 4/Week 12 (August 19th - 23rd)

LEGO CAMPS (ages 7 – 14)

LEGO Builders and Reactors

Sparking scientific inquiry, ingenuity and fun, LEGO Builders camp will encourage scientific exploration in your child.  Utilizing LEGO Education's Simple Machines Set as well as LEGO’s Chain Reactions kit, children will explore engineering concepts utilizing axles, pulleys, wheels, gears, and levers. Children will learn about structures, balance, and stability by building their own skyscrapers to withstand earthquakes.  They will experiment with chain reactions and learn about cause and effect.  They will construct parachutes for their Mini-figures and learn about the Laws of Motion by participating in a rubber band LEGO car race. They will finish the week with a LEGO party and take home their own Mini-figures!

Week 6: (July 8th—July 12th), Monday through Friday: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

LEGO Animators

Encouraging creativity, imagination, and story-telling in your child, LEGO Animator camp will bring out your child's inner “film-maker”. Utilizing LEGO Education's Story-Starters and Build to Express sets, your child will create miniature worlds for their Mini-figures to live in and explore. They will learn about storytelling, storyboarding, and create their very own stop motion animated movies.  At the end of the week, we will have a movie "premier" party where your children will show off their films complete with popcorn and refreshments!

Week 12: (August 19th - 23rd), Monday through Friday: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

LITERATURE CAMP (ages 7 - 14)

A camp for your budding writers, artists and poets.  This camp focuses on the joy of writing and the love of reading. Your school aged children will stretch their creativity, be inspired by nature and the world around them as they write and illustrate their own hardbound stories and will get to take home a keepsake that can be enjoyed for years to come.

Week 8 (July 22nd - 26th), Monday through Friday: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

SCIENCE CAMP (ages 7 - 13)

This half day camp offers action-packed science fun for kids!  From crime scene forensics to fantastic physics and chemistry experiments; our safe and exciting programs will inspire children to ask questions, investigate, and explore.  Our dedicated staff and instructors ensure we bring an engaging and inspiring scientific experience to your children through hands-on learning, projects and experiments.  We will be exploring some amazing scientific themes this year and utilizing some of the latest products in childhood education including LittleBits Electronic Building Blocks and Makedo Cardboard Construction Sets.  Each week offers a different scientific subject.

Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Located in the Specialty Camp Room, extension 245

Weekly Themes:

  • Session 1/Week 3 (June 17th - 21st) Spy Kids 007/CSI: Have your young agents join us for a week of top secret adventures! From making spy equipment, blow dart guns, and secret codes, your camper will be a secret agent in no time! At the end of the week we will utilize all that we learned in order to solve a crime mystery using the science of Crime Scene Investigation.
  • Session 2/Week 4 (June 24th -28th) Tremendous Toy Science: Calling all toy lovers! Your child will get to build, invent and play with some fantastic toys and learn about the science behind them.  From making their own water bottle rocket launchers and foam rockets, to oscillating woodpeckers, wobble bots, put put boats, and so much more!  This camp is for the inventor at heart.
  • Session 3/Week 6 (July 8th - 12th) STEAMin’ Circuits Camp: Have your scientists join us for a STEAMin good time! We will be learning all about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through amazing projects brought to life utilizing LittleBits electronic building blocks as well as Chibitronics paper circuits. From self driving vehicles, art machines, and greeting cards that light up, your child will be learning about the latest technologies all while having fun doing it.
  • Session 4/Week 9 (July 29th - August 2nd) MED School Camp: Have your future doctors and nurses join us for a week of Medical Science!  Children will get to explore the careers that the medical field has to offer them by experimenting with medical instruments, caring for wounds and injuries, learning about medical terminology, and practicing sterile techniques.  The week will include suturing, blood typing, and learning how to make a cast!
  • Session 5/Week 11 (August 12th - 16th) Amazing Magic Science Camp: Has your child ever wondered “how did they do that?” about magic tricks?  This is their chance to learn all about how magic tricks work as well as the science behind them.  We will practice some tricks of our own, and your child will be their very own magician at the end of the week.  They may even trick you!
  • Session 6/Week 12 (August 19th - 23rd) Adventures in Coding: Have your future computer scientists join us in a week of amazing coding adventures!  Through games and construction children will learn all about computer language, if then statements, loops, functions, variables and programming logic.  We will be utilizing LittleBits electronic building blocks alongside traditional games and activities to bring computer understanding to life for your child.
  • Session 7/Week 13 (August 26th - 30th) Best of Science Camp: During this week of camp, we revisit some of our most popular and fun experiments from the summer.  If you and your child missed a particular week, this is a great week to join Science Camp where we do the experiments that the kids want to do!


It’s fun! It’s educational! It’s immersion in Spanish and the Latin culture. Your child will be exposed to cooking, music & dance, art, crafts, literature, outside play and much more.

At this camp, children will be acquiring Spanish language skills while learning about the Latin culture through fun, hands-on activities. On our last day of camp (Friday), we will have a performance for family and friends, beginning at 11:30am.  This exciting camp will engage our young amigos to explore the Spanish culture and language while playing. Campers will work with natural materials and clay to make unique projects.  Children will have a blast learning Spanish while crafting a pinata, cooking, playing and learning about the Latin culture and Spain, the animals and their habitats.

The camps are theme based, fun, and of course all done in Spanish.

Education Camps Guidelines:

Campers may complete the day in another camp from our Education Camps by paying an additional fee. See brochure/General Camp Information for more details.   

Registration forms, payment, emergency information, and signed waivers are due at 4:00 pm on Thursday prior to the week camp starts.  A non-refundable late registration fee of $55 will apply if received after this time.
