It has been 30 days since I started this transformation and WOW how my life has changed. I look forward to workouts, and plan my meals more carefully. Of course it hasn’t come without a lot of sweat, grunting, sore muscles, and under my breath cursing at Kristi, Tracy, Julia, and Shawn (my Trainers). I remember the day I posed for the “before” photo, I kept on repeating to myself “This is the last day I will look like this”. It has become my personal mantra. November 19th, I gave my “fat clothes” to charity. I never had the faith in myself to do that before, always thinking I will be back into them someday. I love what I am doing, and know if I follow the trainers and dieticians guidance, I won’t fail—I will succeed in becoming healthier.
Weight Training

I have been privileged to work with a variety of TCC Personal Trainers. All of them know their "stuff" and want to work you to your highest potential. I enjoy the weights and love to have a “guide” to show me around the weight room. I was intimated with all the different machines that look like you need a degree in engineering to operate them. We started out with hand weights and then slowly moved to the various pieces of equipment. It was nice to have someone who had an idea of how much weight you needed, what form you should be in, and if you were lifting/pushing/pulling properly. I have noticed such a change in my body-- it is becoming firmer, my chicken wings are going away, and my clothes are becoming loose.

Pilates

I feel more intelligent when I am doing Pilates. I become sophisticated, cultured and very sleek no matter what size I am. I have caught myself sitting taller with better posture, pulling my abs in and sucking in my derriere. Now I am just working on my English accent like instructor, Julia. Then I will be the Pilates master! What a workout you get with Pilates! You work your core while concentrating on different parts of your body, to become flexible, leaner and stronger. It is something for all fitness levels. That is the wonderful feature with having an instructor there to train you. They can check your form, adapt it to your level of fitness, and make sure you reach your fullest potential.

Nutrition

Nutrition has always been sore subject for me. Tracy has made eating healthy realistic and obtainable. There is no tofu or wheat germ in my diet and I am losing weight. I am concentrating more on fueling my body more efficiently and eating more times throughout the day. I am actually eating more than I used to and am losing weight. I think writing a food journal has been very important. It has kept me accountable and if it isn’t worth writing down it isn’t worth it. She taught me what combination of food groups should be put together so your body can get the most out of it. Tracy sits down with you and looks over your lifestyle. She promises you are not going to be a “short order” cook for your family making different meals for everyone. I love her, she is easy to talk to and down-to-earth. I have spent my whole life on a diet, but this is the first food lifestyle that seems doable and manageable for me.

45 Minutes of Cardio

Heidi and I have been working out 45 minutes additional to our Weight/Pilates training. I did a spinning class one day and the instructor was amazing. It was my first spinning class and I was a little nervous. The instructor came up to me, introduced herself, adjusted my bike (calling me small), lent me a pair of shoes and helped me get settled in. I loved it! What a workout, working on a certain heart rate percentage. I want to go get a heart monitor now to make sure I am hitting my target heart rate. We also do the arc trainer and veg out in front of the TV. I don’t ever take time to watch TV with two small children. It is nice to be able to have my own TV to control and enjoy. We program our arc trainers and away we go for 45 minutes. I love the low impact the machine provides and the sweat factor is a 10. I have tried the treadmill, elliptical, the Wave, and this is my favorite.

What a difference a month makes! Last week I went out and purchased two new pairs of size 10 jeans, already a size smaller. One more size to go! In the last few days, I’ve had five people come up to me and say, you look great! My best friend of twenty years told me that I almost look like I did in high school. That was an eye-opener for me that this program is truly working.

For the first time since high school, I feel healthy. I’m finally not just losing water weight that comes back as fast as I lose it. I’m building muscle mass...and it is what is making the difference.

Working with Kristi, Tracy, Shawn, and Julia has been great. They are patient, friendly and professional in their training. Although we see them most often, we’ve also had the opportunity to work with other trainers and staff.
EVERYONE at TCC has been supportive and a joy to work with.

For me the weight training, Pilates, and cardio requirements have been enjoyable. The hardest part for me has been battling my eating habits, namely SUGAR CRAVINGS when I am stressed. Every day is a challenge for me to make healthier choices. Tracy has been fantastic. Her real-life approach to changing eating habits is working for me. I am so thankful to her for helping me understand what I should eat and why.

I feel as though I am really becoming a true member of TCC. This has been a great way to become involved and meet the great staff of TCC. I look forward to the months ahead. Thank you, TCC, for this amazing opportunity to change my life.

My husband did the Total Transformation Program with great success. He encouraged me to give it a try. I have been very happy with this program. With hard work and dedication I have lost 17 pounds and lots of inches. I have learned that dieting alone does not work for me. I need exercise and good nutrition. I will be forever grateful to Kristi, my trainer, for her faith in me. I am not finished yet, but I have a great start. Thank you for helping me change my life.
