In his role as an Exercise Physiologist, Coach, and Personal Trainer, Bart has worked with a wide range of people, from the sedentary to the amateur and professional athlete, from youth to seniors. He has improved the health, wellness, and fitness of males and females regardless of their stage of life. He has helped improve the quality of lives of those suffering from Parkinson's, Cerebral Palsy, Fibromyalgia, Essential Tremor, heart disease, and Ebstein Barr. Helping people recover from injuries is also part of Bart's quiver of health related arrows, including low back pain, knee and shoulder injuries, and a myriad of overuse injuries. Bart is an expert in the use of periodization, stress management, interval training, heart rate zone and power zone training, and metabolic conditioning. He believes all aspects of a person's fitness should be based on sound scientific evidence blended with personal observation and experience to tailor the training stimulus to meet the individual goals of each person, regardless of age, within the context of their commitments and lifestyle. Bart is not a fan of buzz words or the latest trends but of hard work, consistency, and purpose. What you call an exercise or how you package it is meaningless; it's what you do, for how long, at what interval, at what intensity, given your body's training status and history that defines the outcome. The magic is in the doing.
